Video Husky: 98 days in.

A few days late, but on June 7th, we got our 10 customers for Video Husky (8 of whom were complete strangers)!

It’s something that I didn’t legitimately expect to happen (we only had 4 customers on May 30th), but things ramped up quickly and over the past couple of weeks we’ve delivered a good amount of work for our customers with 0 complaints.

Given we’ve reached this first 10 customers, the next steps are to formulate a plan to scale Video Husky up — serve as many customers as possible and derive profits as a result.

To do that I’ve enlisted the help of two coaches: Russ Perry and Alex McClafferty.

I knew going into Video Husky I wanted a coach early on and in a way it’s crazy to me that two great opportunities happened.

With Alex, I got connected to him thru Jake Jorgovan and I enjoy his style of coaching as far as I currently know it — will be engaging him for the next 3 months to see what we can do together.

I brought him on mostly because he has successfully worked on and coached scalable productized services businesses like Video Husky. Having that kind of experience means that he can point out things that I wouldn’t otherwise notice and so hopefully can reach Video Husky’s potential faster.

With Russ, the reason that I’m working with him is much more personal. Although he has a great track record business wise, it’s the fact that he talks about personal things first that was attractive to me. I’m an entrepreneur and that means at the end of the day any business that I run hits a ceiling when I do. Working with Russ I hope to push through some of my own personal limitations and become the man and leader who I want to be.

One thing that I’ve always felt a bit lacking in my upbringing was a scene of “big brotherhood” — I’ve gotten an incredible amount from dad, but I want to experience more of that kind of relationship with others who I can also learn from.

In this way, I think the EXPAND02 program could potentially be a gamechanger for me.

Between working with two coaches who I highly respect, watching the World Cup and moving to Chiang Mai — it’ll be a pretty exciting next few months for me…can’t wait to see what life brings!
